Sr. Celeste Arbuckle, SSS

Director of Religious Education and Youth Ministry

Sr. Celeste is a Sister of Social Service and Director of the SFOREYM. She has served in the catechetical field for over 35 years in parishes, Archdiocesan offices, and on national and international boards and committees. Sr. Celeste oversees the daily operation of the office and consults with the Marin County and Deanery 10 and 11 Parish Catechetial Leaders. She is responsible for work with adult faith formation, Catholic Scouting and RCIA.

Anelita Reyes

Associate Director for Catechesis

Anelita is Associate Director for Catechesis and coordinates the parishes in San Francisco and northern San Mateo counties. She holds a Masters in Education Degree from the Philippines and a Masters Degree in Theology from the Franciscan School of Theology in Berkeley. She comes with work experience in Catholic schools and parish religious education. She works with parishes in the formation of catechists, Foundational Training for Parish Catechetical Leaders and provides workshops on a variety of topics.

Sr. Graciela Martinez, OSF

Associate Director for Hispanic Catechesis

Sr. Graciela is a Sister of St. Francis of Redwood City, CA.  She is both bilingual and bicultural. She has years of experience in community organizing and immigrant rights work. She integrates faith with justice throughout her workshops, leadership trainings and social actions. She has served in religious education at the parish, diocesan, and national levels. She is responsbile for the formation of Hispanic Catechetical Leaders and the training of catechists in the Archdiocesan Hispanic parishes.
Sr. Marie Elena

Sr. Maria Elena Martinez, OSF

Hispanic Catechesis

Sister is a Franciscan Sister of Redwood City and travels throughout the world faciliating, giving retreats and working with chapters of religious communities.  She coordinators and teachiings programs with Sr. Graciela.

Janet Fortuna

Coordinator of Special Needs

Janet has worked with indiviudals with special needs for over 15 years.  She has volunteered as a catechist with the SPRED program in the Diocese of Oakland and with the adults with special needs in the Archdiocese of San Francisco.  Janet coordinates our special needs program in helping students receive their sacraments and form faith communities of sharing.

Delia Herrera

Administrative Assistant

Delia manages the overall running of the office. Her responsibilities include communication, billing, resourcing, calendars and general office management.  Her experience of over 40 years with religious education allows her to be a valued resource for all people who interact with the SFOREYM.

Delia is currently on medical leave.
